Terms, Conditions and Booking Policy

Travel Fees
Auckland and North Island Wide
Travel fee applies to all bookings – 0.97cents per km for all areas within Auckland and 0.90cents per km for all out of Auckland jobs. Ontop of this a travel fee for myself and any assistant (if needed) will be added per hour of travel at $25 per hour.
Waiheke Island
Travel fee incurred includes the return ferry ticket, car parking and travel time on the ferry of 1.5 hours. Transport once over will need to be arranged both to and from the ferry terminal by the client.
Great Barrier Island
Travel fee incurred includes a return flight ticket and a minimum of 2 night stay during peak season. Airport parking will also be included – transport once over there from Claris airport to the accommodation and back will need to be arranged by the client. Alternatively a car hire fee will be incurred.
Out of Auckland
Accommodation, return flights, hotel and airport parking, valet costs etc will be payable by the client.

Weddings – Auckland and Nationwide
Michaela Kaye Makeup can travel ANYWHERE for your big day. With travelling depending on the location may include an accommodation fee if needed. Travel charges and accommodation costs are quoted individually based on the job details and location.

Public Holidays
A 15% surcharge applies to all bookings on a public holidays (New Years Day, Anzac Day, Easter Monday, Good Friday, Queens Birthday and Labour Day) and over the relating long weekends.

Deposits
A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. The outstanding balance is due to be paid 2 weeks prior to the date for Weddings and 7 days prior to the date for all other bookings. Michaela Kaye is unable to ‘hold/pencil’ in a booking date without a deposit. ALL bookings require a deposit to be paid. The deposit is non-refundable due to the large scale of bookings per day, Michaela Kaye cannot afford to have any cancellations.

Refunds
Refunds aren’t offered on any completed services or trials; if you are in any way unhappy with the service provided it is up to you to discuss this to your artist on the day. All discussions regarding refunds will be entered into on a case-by-case basis and from there we can make sure that you and your artist see eye to eye.

Booking Details
When booking any hair and makeup service or package this includes only ONE style. We cannot recreate multiple styles on a client due to change of mind and due to multiple bookings on each day.
Trials
Wedding trials are able to be booked both weekdays and weekends. Trials included either one hair and makeup package or one makeup only or hair styling only. Please allow up to two and a half hours for your trial to take place. If you wish to have a second trial, the trial costs will be charged accordingly.

Photos
Michaela Kaye Makeup has the right to share ‘behind the scenes’ photos of your Wedding or Special Occasion on social media and also includes any professional photos the photographer has shared. These photos can include the hair and makeup upon finishing before and after photos (with client consent)
Photos can/will be used for advertising purposes, please state if you would prefer not to have any photos shared.

Cancellations
Any cancellations before the Wedding day will not be refunded the deposit no exceptions. The 50% deposit is non-refundable, other work will have been turned away and this loss of income will have to be covered.
Cancellations made 8 weeks or less before your Wedding date, the client agrees to pay 50% of the total balance.
Cancellations made 4 weeks or less before the Wedding date, the client agrees to pay the full remaining amount.

Rights Reserved
Michaela Kaye Makeup reserves the right to cancel any booking by providing email confirmation of doing so if a booking is in breach of these Terms and Conditions.

Health and Safety
It is up to the client to inform the artist for their booking if they have any allergic reactions or skin conditions prior to the booking starting. Michaela Kaye Makeup and any assistant artist/s are not responsible should a reaction occur. Service can be refused if a client presents with nits due to the health and safety nature.

Last Note
Any changes to your booking will need to be known no later than one month prior to the booking date.
