FAQ’s

Do I need to come to you for hair and makeup? Where are you based?
I am a completely mobile makeup artist and hairstylist based in Auckland. I travel throughout Auckland the the North Island. As all services are mobile, a travel fee applies to all bookings.

What do I need to do prior to my hair/makeup booking?
If you’re getting your hair styled, please ensure it is washed no later than 2 days prior to your booking – this is so the natural dirt and oils help to hold the style. For health and safety reasons, if anyone booked in to get their hair done has head lice they will unfortunately not be able to get their hair done. If anyone has any dandruff/hair issues please make this know prior.
For makeup bookings please have a freshly washed and cleaned face.

I have a larger Bridal party/event booking – do you work with assistants?
If your bridal party has larger numbers (5+) an extra makeup artist is required and this incurs an additional cost ($150 per extra assistant). For larger numbers for event bookings there is no extra charge for an assistant makeup artist to come along.

Do I need to have a trial for my Wedding? What do I need to know heading into a trial?
Trials are highly recommended for all Brides to be! This is the best time to talk through ideas and see which products for your skin type, it also helps to avoid being rushed on the day. Trials can be done no later than 4 weeks prior to the Wedding day and can take upto 2 hours – this includes one hair and makeup look or one hair/makeup look. If you decide to go for another look and wish to re-trial the trials costs will need to be paid again.

How far do you travel?
Travel is available throughout all of Auckland and the North Island. Travel fees apply to all mobile bookings and may include flights/accommodation depending on location.

Do I need to pay a booking deposit?
For all bookings a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure and book you in. An invoice will be sent through outlining the services due and the amount, the deposit can be paid by bank transfer or credit/debit card. The outstanding balance is due 14 days before the booking date for Weddings and 7 days prior for all other bookings. See all bookings Terms & Conditions here.

How far in advance should I book in hair and makeup?
It depends on the the time of year, but is best to book in as soon as possible when you have the booking date. For special occasions, several months in advance works well especially around Christmas. For Weddings, as soon as possible is advised but anywhere from 6-12+ months out from the date as popular dates in the summer season books out quickly.

Do you offer other beauty services?
By the end of the year other services available alongside hair and makeup will be spray tans and eyelash extensions.
