Things to consider on your Wedding Day . . .
Your Hair: Please ensure your hair is washed no less than 2 days prior to the Wedding day, unless otherwise discussed at your trial. The natural grit and oils in the hair help in holding the hairstyle along with the products used.
Your Makeup: Please ensure you have a freshly washed, clean face prior to your booking. Your skin will be prepped with facial spray and moisturizer – to allow time for the products to settle into your skin, the eye makeup will be done after the skin has been prepped. If you would be more comfortable using your own skincare that is fine, please ensure your moisturiser has no more than an SPF of 15 – this is because any SPF rating higher can cause flashback in flash photography. A touchup lip colour isn’t supplied on the day, this can be purchased prior to the Wedding day or purchased on your behalf as lip colour is generally the only thing that should need touching up with eating and drinking.
Timing: On the Wedding day please have everyone needing hair/makeup done to by at the location no later than 15 minutes prior to the allocated time. I will arrive 15 minutes before starting to allow time to meet everyone and getting all products set up to start. Please ensure you have the first person ready to go at the starting time. I aim to be finished 45 minutes prior to you needing to leave to allow time for lip touchups, extra facial spray or hairspray and to put in the veil (if required). On some occasions everyone may be finished earlier than expected, this is no worry it can mean more time to enjoy the last moments before walking down the aisle.
Trials: I recommend having your trial take place 6-8 weeks prior to the Wedding date. It is best suited to book your trial for either a date when trying on your dress so you can see how the hair and makeup will look with the dress, and from here can note down changes for the actual day. Trials can also be booked for your bridal shower or bachelorette night to enjoy being pampered. If after your trial you decide on another look and wish to trial this look there will be another trial cost incurred. Trials are booked for either 1 hair and makeup look, or 1 hair/makeup look if you require just one service. This is due to timing (can take up to 2-2.5hours) and as other jobs are likely to be booked on the same day.
